yes yes we are getting smarted by the minute with these men...  trying to get over on us! that is one reason they are going to the white woman.

we need to teach our young sisters about the old brothers trying to get over on them and let not wait to late! and lay out some rules for them to go by.

If I may make some corrections; The black woman in many ways happens to be more intelligent now, which we call this "smarter".

I think a woman needs to check the brother out hard and serious to see what he is all about. It doesn't matter sometimes if she does wait 6 months or longer. I know of a sister I wanted to date with sincere emotions for her. She instead opted for a man who she said was more her age. I was just 52 and she was 56. Today she complains how men aint "isht". The man did the same exact thing, screwed with her head and ultimately screwed. Played the same game, didn't answer his phone, stopped calling her. No, he did not leave his wallet home--he wined and dined her to the max--then did what he wanted to do...then jetted off into the breeze. This guy was 60

Unfortunately, I think some of us are so desperate for a man under the quise of I don't want to be alone or I need someone to love me or, let's face it, my sexual appetite is such that I need a man in my life.  And often times, in those situations listed above, we don't do the research or the waiting like we should and then end up with a mess on our hands and a situation where yet another man has screwed us (literally and figuratively).   If we could tone down our desperation and learn to be patient in the dating processs, we would be much better off.  Talk to a man a little bit longer, get to know what he is about before you say yes to the date, really listen to the things that he is telling you, learn to read between the lines, listen to what he is NOT saying, don't be so fast and eager to sleep (have sex) with him.  Make him wait until you feel like it is right.  If he really wants you, he will wait.  Lastly, know what it is that you do want so that you will stop getting entangled with men that you don't want.

Lee, I kinda have that problem because I don't want to be labeled a 'cougar' so I try to meet men my age or a little older but I am finding that a little younger is not so bad either - just a little younger (lol)

Women also need to understand that the way to get over one man is not to get under another man.  Let some time go by; especially if you were hurt in the process.  Give yourself some time to heal and be clear-headed before you allow yourself to be approached again.
